Jesus,, You found no honor among Your neighbors because they saw Your humanity all too vividly. Lord, help us to encourage and honor our neighbors who are trying to move beyond their own humanity and fallen nature. Help our neighbors show the same to us as we struggle to overcome our shortcomings and failures. Let us feel compassion and joy rather than jealousy and resentment when others prosper and we remain in a struggle. Holy Spirit, enlighten us. Amen. Matthew 13: 54-58
