Jesus, help us to face the reality of our lives in a manner that will be pleasing to you. Holy Spirit, instill in us your gifts so that we can use our poverty or wealth, weeping or laughter, acceptance or rejection, and hunger or fullness to show Christ's love to others. We so desperately need your guidance to keep our eyes on what is important for our soul, rather than being consumed with what is good for our mortal lives. Lord, keep our eyes focused on you and not on ourselves as we live our daily lives. Amen. Luke 6:20-26
