Jesus, you preached to the people and taught them how poverty, mercy and peacemaking will bring them to eternal life. O Lord, teach me to follow these lessons in my life. Teach me especially to be calm and civil when you are mocked and ridiculed by many in today's world. Let me be an example that may light the way for others.
